Sheryl grew up with her parents and one sister on a 120 acre dairy farm by Lake Reno and graduated from Glenwood High School. Having lived in the Alexandria area all but 15 years when residing in Minneapolis, she knows the area and its people very well which is a benefit to her clients/customers. Sheryl is married to Roger Bakewell, a retired Optometrist of the former Bloomquist/Bakewell Eye Clinic (now Eye Associates of Alexandria). The Bakewell’s have lived on Lake LeHomme Dieu for 26 years. They are active members of First Lutheran Church.
Sheryl’s hobbies include biking, walking, and in particular, gardening where she spends her Sunday afternoons maintaining her spacious flower garden.
She is a member of and contributes to the Alexandria Area Arts Association, Theater LeHomme Dieu, Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity, Children's Miracle Network, First Lutheran Church.
